If you're organising a special event, like a product launch, its a great idea to give your invitees a sample of your product that you are launching - or give them some sort of special offer on your product (such as a voucher). Your special VIP guests are supporting your brand and your business, so its only fair to give them a special gift in appreciation of their attendance at your event. Gifting prior to the event A upward trend that we are seeing is that guests are invited to an event via a beautiful branded invitation box, delivered to them in the mail. The recipient is bound to be intrigued by the parcel they have received, to open it, and hopefully be wowed by the stunning invitation box with your brand printed on it, with an invite or special product or fun item inside for them. (Hopefully they will enthusiastically register for your event.) If they cannot attend the event, at least you have given your target attendee a special and unique gift, which they will remember you by when next needing the product or service your supply. Above is an example of an invitation box (pre-event), where the client is presented with a beautifully branded box, with a key and booklet in the box - to entice them to attend the event Gift at the event People love receiving gifts at an event. For example, if you have invited 50 VIP guests to a sit down event, it would be a great idea to give your special guests a little gift pack - a mini wine bottle, juice bottle, popcorn and chocolate packets, in a fun branded promo giveaway box, to enjoy while they are at your conference / screening / book launch for example. If you are promoting your new body lotion or fragrance for example, and have invited media and fashion VIPs to your event, you should gift them a sample of your new product in a stunning, professional looking gift bag or box. You could even include a USB with professional and artistic shots of your product, so if they wish to promote your product, they have easy to access professional shots. Your gift bag or box should be consistent with your brand image and have your logo printed on, and could even include a professional photo of your new product that you are launching. Above is an example of a branded gift box that was given away at an event, full of goodies!
If you are doing an integrated marketing campaign around the new product, make sure you integrate the same imagery or slogans of that product, into your branded packaging or branded bag. I hope these little tips have helped you with some ideas of how you can use branded bags and boxes to promote your brand, whilst making an impact and making the event enjoyable for your VIPs.
